Huawei presents its P line of smartphones normally in March, and it seems that 2020 would be no exception.
The CEO of the Huawei Consumer Business Group, Richard Yu, confirmed plans for the P40 line, which will be presented at an event in Paris at the end of March. An exact date has not yet been announced, but a presentation on Tuesday 25 March is very likely for the time being. After three months, however, there is still plenty of time to change these plans.
The executive also revealed that the Huawei P40 will benefit from a mysterious new design that has never been seen before. That means we can expect a big redesign in the new flagship of the Chinese brand. It also confirmed a better battery, a faster processor and even better image quality.
Both the P40 and the P40 Pro would come with the Kirin 990 chip, already seen in the Mate 30 Pro. The internal memory configuration is unknown, but the company’s CEO had something to say about his software: “Despite commercial problems with the United States, Richard Yu insisted that Android OS 10 with the EMUI 10 layer be pre-installed on the P40 and P40 Pro.
Access to Google’s services and applications since the launch will depend on President Trump, but the CEO said Huawei’s mobile services would be available on time. This should therefore help to partially solve the problem of applications and services. As far as the availability of the device is concerned, the company aims to sell it through its usual distribution channels in Europe.
