Huawei will present two new luxury smartphones on October 16, and the cheapest variant of Huawei Mate 20 is now also shown in the press photos. With its triple camera and small notch, the Mate 20 looks stylish. Compared to the Mate 20 Pro, there are clear optical differences. These are mainly caused by what Huawei portrayed in the Mate 20: 3D facial recognition and on-screen fingerprint sensor have been eliminated.
The images of the Pro model had already been made public, and now also the technically reduced version appears. The official press photos of the Huawei Mate 20 are again available on WinFuture.
Because this model does not have 3D facial recognition, it is possible to make the Notch smaller. It comes in a delicate water drop design. The side edges of the screen are also narrow on this model and the chin under the screen is also shown streaked. On the back of the Huawei Mate 20, there are further differences with the Mate 20 Pro.
The dual LED flash is located on the right in the camera section for the cheapest version, and on the left for the highest version. The main camera must be identical to the 40-megapixel camera, there is still no information available on the other two cameras. A fingerprint sensor is visible underneath the camera unit but is not integrated into the screen itself. The positions of the volume control and the power button on the left side are the same for the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro. An interesting detail of the Mate 20 is the 3.5 mm headphone socket, which is not included with the Mate 20 Pro.
Huawei Mate 20 Hardware differences:
The Kirin 980 chipset (Octa Core CPU) is also used in the cheapest model, but the display differs significantly. It is equipped with 6.53 inches, 2,244 × 1,080 pixels and an LCD panel. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro, on the other hand, is supposed to use an OLED with 3,120 × 1,440 pixels.
The memory versions will be 64 GB on the basic model and 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB UFS 2.1 depending on the market. The main memory is staggered in the sizes of 4 GB, 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM. The battery capacity of the Huawei Mate 20 is 4,000 mAh. The Mate 20 should start from 750 euros, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro around 100 euros more expensive.
