HTC is developing its own Android phone with integrated blockchain

HTC is currently developing Exodus, a smartphone under Android with integrated blockchain technology. Behind this project is Phil Chen, founder of HTC Vive, who will lead all blockchain and cryptocurrency based initiatives within the company, according to TheNextWeb.

Exodus will have universal wallet and hardware support for cryptocurrency and decentralized applications, initially offering support for a number of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, among others. In addition, the company is considering the possibility of users being able to purchase their units by paying through krypton coins, although the price for this has not yet been determined.

As they point out, it will not be the first phone to have blockchain technology integrated, as Sirin Labs is expected to launch its own solution this autumn, which was announced last September and will cost around $1,000, and users will be able to store and use cryptocurrency without paying any fees for the transactions they carry out.

From the aforementioned medium, it is pointed out that all the advantages listed of blockchain-based phones, i.e. better security and user experience, with native support for cryptocurrency without transaction fees, can be brought to any regular phone at the software level.

In any case, all that has been promised is still to be seen in practice, which will take time, but it is curious that HTC, like other technology companies, is also taking the lead in the use of blockchain technology.
