The Halo saga is one of the biggest attractions of the Xbox platform, with many of its titles never released on PC. One of them is Halo 3, an Xbox 360 game that is considered one of the best in this acclaimed saga. The developers of Xenia, the Xbox 360 PC emulator, have announced that they have managed to run Halo 3, even if you have no illusions at the moment.
Running the game is one thing and playing it is quite another, for now, the emulation is extremely good, as it has only been achieved by running Halo 3.
The performance is extremely low and there are a multitude of graphic flaws, such as textures that do not load and many more flaws. Despite all this, it is a very important first step and marks a long road of evolution until Xenia allows for the first time to play an Xbox 360 title on a PC.
If all goes well, it could be at the end of this year or the beginning of 2019 when we can finally play halo 3 on PC. There are currently rumors about the release of Halo The Master Chief Collection for PCs, so Microsoft could overtake Xenia by allowing Halo 3 to be played on PCs. Redmond’s strategy has been to share the entire catalog between Windows 10 and PC for a long time, in fact there has already been talk of the arrival of Sunset Overdrive on Windows 10.
Xbox One will allow you to play with keyboard and mouse very soon
We’ll have to wait a little longer to see if we can play Halo 3 on a PC for the first time with Xenia or Microsoft. What do you think will happen?
