Following Google One, its new cloud storage service that will replace Google Drive was first announced last May, the technology giant has officially launched this tool, which will change the way this service is offered with much cheaper plans and more options for users.
Google One plans start from the same location as Drive: $1.99 per month for 100GB of additional storage, but the options have been improved. Google has introduced a new plan that includes 200GB of storage for just $2.99 per month and a 2TB plan for $9.99 per month.
However, if you’re one of those users who need more storage, Google sells 10TB, 20TB, and 30TB subscriptions, which cost between $99.99 and $299.99 per month. One of the main attractions of these plans is that you can share the storage capacity with up to five family members.
Google also offers additional storage benefits, including 24/7 access to technical support to help users resolve any questions about the company’s services.
On the other hand, Google One is also accompanied by offers for users in hotels and accommodation when they search on Google Maps. In fact, Google has said it will soon offer storage service users offers for their Google Store and Google Express purchases.
The service is currently only available in the USA but will be introduced in other countries shortly. Obviously, the “One” brand accompanying Google has been a clarifier from Google to differentiate this Google Drive service, especially as the new cloud service will also be associated with Gmail and the Photos application.
