Google+ has a new option to follow the content of communities and collections

Google Plus communities and collections will offer users a new way to keep up with the content they share, without overwhelming them with notifications.

As shared by the Google team, a new option will be implemented in the notification settings for communities. Users who wish to keep up to date with their posts but do not want to receive a notification each time they are shared. And that will be able to opt out of Post-Highlights.
