Gigabyte, the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of PC motherboards, has announced the launch of the new Z370 AORUS featuring a 32GB Intel Optane module to accelerate the operation of hard drives or SSDs.
New Z370 AORUS motherboards with an included 32GB Intel Optane module
The new Z370 AORUS GAMING 7-OP, Z370 AORUS ULTRA GAMING WIFI-OP, Z370 AORUS ULTRA GAMING 2.0-OP, and Z370 HD3-OP Gigabyte motherboards come standard with a 32GB Intel Optane module included, enabling faster write and read operations on system storage devices. All of them are compatible with the latest Intel RST version, which is capable of accelerating all system hard drives and SSDs, unlike previous versions that only accelerated the operating system drive.
The Intel Optane module is pre-installed at the factory, so the user only needs to select which SATA disk to accelerate for maximum speed. This is a secure option, which will not compromise existing data on any hard drive.
GIGABYTE’s Deputy Director of the Motherboard Business Unit, Jackson Hsu, commented that the firm continues to strive to refine the user experience and maximize the performance offered to gamers, many of whom use SSD devices primarily for operating system installation and high-capacity hard drives for large data storage and gaming. Intel Optane Technology can offer great benefits to these users by accelerating the operation of mechanical hard drives.
