A filtered gigabyte roadmap revealed a lot of information about the new products that AMD will launch for the AM4 platform. Besides confirming the existence of “Matisse Refresh”, the roadmap also includes the arrival of the A520 in August and information about the new Renoir APUs.
Regarding Renoir, the Ryzen 4000G APUs, the roadmap shows that they will only be compatible with the 500 series chipsets, i.e. X570, B550 and the new A520. It also mentions that although they are based on Zen 2, they will not support PCI-E 4.0, but will be limited to PCI-E 3.0.
The other relevant information is the arrival of the A520 in August, with the possibility of using the PCI-E 4.0 lines of Ryzen 3000 processors, which is not possible in the 400 or 300 series. We’ve already seen leaks from other brands’ A520s, although there are still no details on the models that Gigabyte is preparing.
Renoir’s APUs are expected to arrive in July along with Matisse Refresh, while the A520, as mentioned on the slide, will arrive in August.
