Gigabyte has announced its new AORUS X470 Gaming motherboards, based on the AMD X470 chipset, which offers the best possible support for second generation AMD Ryzen processors. The first models on the market will be the X470 AORUS GAMING 7 WIFI, AORUS GAMING 5 WIFI and AORUS ULTRA GAMING, all of them based on a renewed VRM power system of 10+2 power phases and the most modern technologies such as USB Type-C.
GIGABYTE presents the AORUS X470 motherboards
This new 10 + 2 phase power digital VRM system is based on solid connectors to deliver incredibly accurate power delivery with the highest levels of reliability. Each phase can provide up to 50 A of power, to ensure maximum stability in the most energy-hungry components. This VRM is accompanied by a new heatsink design with a heat exchange area almost 300% larger than traditional heatsinks thanks to Stacked Fin technology, and the use of a top-quality envelope heatpipe with Direct Touch technology for better heat transfer from the CPU IHS.
Add to this the best audio quality from the optimized Realtek ALC1220-VB codec and the ESS SABER DAC, a configuration that offers users the best sound quality, without the need to spend money on a dedicated card. This sound engine also provides clearer sound into the microphone, offering a clear advantage for players, who prefer to use the audio from the front panel to listen to their opponents and communicate with their team.
The benefits of the new AORUS X470 Gaming motherboards continue with a dual M.2 PCI Express 3.0 x4 slot design, capable of offering a speed of up to 32 GB/s, these slots feature the advanced M.2 Thermal Guards heatsink, to prevent overheating of memory chips and the NVMe controller.
Gigabyte has also included the advanced parameter monitoring technology of the Smart Fan 5 system, and its advanced RGB Fusion lighting system, with support for 4 external LED lighting strips.
