Gigabyte launches its new RX Vega 64 Windforce X2 Gaming OC

Gigabyte today released its customized version of AMD Radeon RX Vega 64, which comes as model Windforce X2 Gaming OC 8GB. This new graphics card incorporates the usual Windforce X2 heatsink of the brand used in its economic series under the Gigabyte brand, this time and as the X2 model, with two 100mm fans.

This new version equips three heat pipes of 8 and 6mm thickness with a double radiator communicated by them. What is curious is the appearance of a heat pipe on the backplate of the card, making this element an active dissipator. In particular, the new dissipator ends up being triple SLOT, so we should not underestimate its dissipation power.

The card measures, in particular, 53mm high, 273.8mm long and 131.6mm full. So, it is a card of massive proportions but with a reasonable length.

BAs for power, this model retains the two original 8 Pin PCIe connectors for the reference model. Also thanks to its customized PCB, the number of phases is increased to 12 + 1. That is something that should considerably improve the power delivery, above all in overclocking situations.

The name OC has also not been used in vain since the card increases the reference frequencies (1247/1546 Mhz Base / Boost) to 1267/1560 Mhz Base / Boost, a very slight overclock.

Regarding video outputs, we have the surprise. Since the new card has three HDMI 2.0 outputs and three Display Port 1.4. Apparently thanks to the disappearance of the DVI-D port. And something that will surely appreciate those who think using the card for VR systems or multi-monitor through HDMI.
