Gigabyte capitalizes on one of the most popular models in the GeForce GTX 1000 series, the GeForce GTX 1050. The manufacturer unveils three new versions, one of which is called the “Low Profile” model.
As our GTX 1050 test has shown, this solution meets the needs of players who are not too greedy with graphics options. With medium settings and Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, performance is there even with some AAA titles. In an effort to diversify its offering, Gigabyte is launching three new versions of the GeForce GTX 1050.
The company took advantage of the launch a few weeks ago of the 3GB variant. It is positioned between the GTX 1050 2 Go and the GTX 1050 Ti. This solution includes a GPU with 768 CUDA cores and 3 GB of 7 Gbps GDDR5 memory operated via a 96-bit memory bus. The base frequency is calibrated at 1392MHz against a boost mode at 1518 MHz.
Gigabyte Unveils GeForce GTX 1050 OC 3GB, D5 3G, and OC Low Profile 3G
The first new feature is the GeForce GTX 1050 OC 3GB. As its name suggests, we have a card that offers GPU overclocking at the cardboard output. It comes in dimensions of 111 x 36 mm for a length of 191 mm. Its cooling is based on the Windforce 2X. Its connectivity includes a Dual DVI-D port, an HDMI 2.0 and a DisplayPort 1.4. In Gaming mode, this GTX 1050 OC 3G operates at 1417 MHz with a boost frequency of 1556 MHz. The OC mode is a little more virulent with respective frequencies of 1442MHz and 1582MHz.
In parallel, the GeForce GTX 1050 D5 3G is also appearing. It offers dimensions of 113 x 30mm for a length of 172 mm. Cooling is provided by a Windforce 2X adapted to its measurements. As a result, the two 80 mm fans are replaced by a single 90 mm fan. Video connectivity does not change. Finally frequency side we before a GPU calibrated at 1392MHz against 1518 MHz in boost mode.
Finally, the last iteration is a particular model, the GeForce GTX 1050 OC Low Profile 3G. The objective is to propose a form factor adapted to small configurations. The card is 167 x 68.9 x 37 mm. Its compactness does not prevent it from offering an additional HDMI 2.0 against its two big sisters.
We have a GPU at 1404MHz against 1544 MHz in boost mode Gaming and respective values of 1430 and 1569 MHz in OC mode.
