As promised, Samsung today presented its Galaxy A8s. The announcement came a week ahead of its direct competitor, the Huawei Nova 4.
As you can imagine, thanks to the poster used in the preview, the A8s will use the Infinity O display. These designs are characterized by the fact that the front camera is placed in a hole on the screen, thus achieving the absence of edges.
Apart from its large screen of 6.4″ with a resolution of 2340 x 1080px, the new Samsung phone has a medium range. The A8s is powered by a Snapdragon 710, with the option to use 6 or 8 GB of RAM. The external memory is 128 GB and can be expanded to 512 GB via microSD.
In the background, they chose the same triple camera we saw in the Galaxy A7. The front camera has an impressive 24MP.
If 2018 was the year of phones without a notch, 2019 will be the year of “holes in the screen”. Next to the A8s are the Huawei Nova 4 (as mentioned earlier, it will be announced next Monday) and the recently announced Honor View 20.
We still don’t know which of them will reach the market and, most importantly, which of them will be the first to leave China.
