The arrival of the second generation of Ryzen processors is very close, and they begin to be seen in the database of SANDRA, a very reliable source to discover the new chips that are to come. In this case, we can see the Ryzen 5 2600 and some of its specifications, in addition to the new ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero motherboard.
Ryzen 5 2600 will be manufactured in 12 nm
We know that Ryzen 2 will land in stores in March. That is as a new generation of processors based on the ZEN core. But this time it is manufactured in a 12 nm process. So, maintaining its compatibility with the current AM4 socket motherboards.
During the last hours Ryzen 5 2600 could be seen in Sandra’s database, confirming that it would work at a speed of 3.4GHz, this would be about 200 MHz above the Ryzen 5 1600 model. The processor will be six cores and 12 threads with an L3 cache of 8MB. That would be a sample of the processor’s engineering, and its speed may change in the final version, or maybe not, and remain.
In line with this AMD processor, you can also see the new ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero motherboard. Also, that carries the X470 chipset. Unfortunately, there is not much more information about the motherboard. Also, that it is already working with the second generation of Ryzen processors. We may have more leaks in the coming weeks, as we get closer to the official launch.
