Earlier this year, the Facebook team announced a further update to its advertising policy, determining that it would no longer allow crypto marketing ads, although they left the doors open for future review.
And now, they announce that they have analyzed the situation, and plan to reverse the measure, allowing some advertisers to publish ads for coins and related content. Although they continue to hold their stance on binary options and the Initial Forex Offer (ICO).
This new policy begins to be implemented today, but with a different dynamic, as detailed in the Privacy Policy:
Advertisements must not promote cryptomoney or related products and services without our prior written consent.
In other words, advertisers must go through a period of review, which begins with the submission of an application. The Facebook team will evaluate different criteria, for example, types of licenses, public records, relevant company information, etc. And if they believe that it complies with the rest of Facebook’s policies and that it is not misleading advertising, they will be given permission.
It is possible that this policy is not definitive, they will study how the new dynamic works by taking into account the feedback from users, for a new revision in the future.
