Mark Zuckerberg claims in a recent interview with Vox that the service is thinking about the function of independent calls to system moderation. These are cases where our posts are removed due to a breach of our company service policy. Zuckerberg believes that Facebook should function more like a government organization to reflect what community members want.
Facebook may soon allow references to removed posts
Currently, Facebook only allows appeals against content that has been removed for potential copyright infringement. It is a somewhat complicated process. According to Marek Zuckerberg, it would be more democratic to introduce independent appeals against any content that removes Facebook moderation.
This process would resemble a kind of jury, just like at Periscope. Well, some randomly selected users are to choose whether the content data are unsuitable for the service in their opinion or whether they could exist in it. Currently, according to Facebook standards, there are three main categories of unwanted content: nudity and sexual activity of adults, hate speech and violent content.
As you can see, after the Cambridge Analytica scandal, Facebook was overwhelmed, and the service is apparently planning a lot of changes. However, it is worth remembering that your data on your computer also needs to be somehow protected.
