About two and a half years after its debut on Samsung Gear VR, VR puzzler Esper makes the leap to PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Go. When did it happen and will there be exclusive content on the individual platforms?
Porting an existing VR title for other headsets to a fine thing, as this step increases the number of players reached. In the case of the VR puzzler Esper, however, from the point of view of PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Go, this step has now taken a proud 30 months.
Esper: Crazy Background Story
Usually, background stories in the puzzle genre are quickly told or don’t even exist, but Esper is a completely different case. In an alternative version of London in 1975 people can move objects all at once only with the help of their thoughts.
The government now wants to test us to see if we are a danger to humanity. Here the real game begins because we are one of the guinea pigs.
In terms of content, Esper offers various physics and logic puzzles in a harmonious but simple look. The differences between the individual VR headsets in this respect are still unclear. Exclusive content on the respective platforms is not planned as things stand at present.
When does Esper appear and on which VR headset?
Esper will be released on 29 June for PlayStation VR, Oculus Go and its Chinese twin Xiaomi Mi. From 6 July, the VR puzzler will also be available from Steam for HTC Vive.
For Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality, Esper can already be purchased as part of Esper The Collection. As an alternative to Esper we can recommend Laser Puzzle in VR. You can also take a closer look at Salary Man Escape or Blind.
