Thermaltake offers its Top Flow Engine 27 fan in an even more compact version, the Engine 17. The number in the name refers to its height of only 17 mm.
In the ultra-compact fan segment, Thermaltake has succeeded in resizing its Engine 27, launched in 2016.
The company unveils the Engine 17, an even smaller version to address PCs in need of space.
This processor cooling solution is a Top Flow type. In other words, it operates a fan horizontally and not vertically. The engine only targets Intel platforms and more precisely the LGA 115x socket. If its compactness is a real asset, it is accompanied by constraints. The performance ensures a heat dissipation of 35 Watts. It will therefore not be able to cope with the entire Intel Coffee Lake range.
Engine 17, features.
The Engine 17 offers dimensions of 91.5 mm x 91.5 mm for a height of 17 mm. Its base in direct contact with the processor is surmounted by a 60 mm fan offering a speed between 1500 and 2500 rpm. The noise pollution is announced between 11 and 23 dBA and the whole displays a weight of 205 grams.
Thermaltake does not disclose its tariff.
