Elon Musk announced a few months ago that he would be stepping down as CEO of Twitter, although he would continue to own the company. Many thought this would happen soon, but it looks like it won’t. He will remain CEO of the company for at least the rest of the year. That’s what he said recently.

He said this at an event where he revealed that he still has some issues to resolve before leaving the company. So he will stay for a few more months.

The financial situation of Twitter is one of the main concerns of Elon Musk and also the main reason why he will remain in office as CEO of the company. In addition, there are also a number of product-level steps that need to be taken first before he will step down from this position. What these steps or developments are has not been mentioned yet, presumably they are changes such as new APIs.
The CEO believes that the end of the year is a good time to look for someone else to take over the position. So at least until the end of this year, Musk will stay in the position. It could even be something beyond 2023.
These statements lead many to believe that Musk will not be leaving his post as CEO. It remains to be seen whether or not this will actually be the case. What is clear is that Elon Musk will not give up his post at Twitter as quickly as many had hoped and expected. So we will have to continue to wait and see who will take over the post in the near future.
