New series of SSD memories from EDGE, CLX 600. EDGE Memory has arrived loaded with news to CES 2018 with an extension of its SSD line in various formats. First of all, we have the new CLX 600 product line. That includes SSD in 1.8 “, M.2 and mSATA format. These new SATA interface models all aim to offer economical options for assemblers, while maintaining durability and low consumption.

The new CLX 600 comes with transfer rates of up to 500 MB/s with 59,000 IOPS for the M.2 and mSATA model. While the 1.8 “model reaches 560MB / s and 79,000 IOPS. Regarding capabilities, the thing changes, as each format will come in different capacities since the model of 1.8 “will be available in versions from 120GB to 1TB. While the M.2 and mSATA models arrive in options from 60GB to 480GB.
As for controllers, the 1.8 “model will incorporate a Silicon Motion SM2200. And the M.2 and mSATA models will opt for the Silicon Motion SM2258XT.
On the other hand, EDGE Memory has also announced new high-end M.2 SSD models named NextGen. That use PCI-E interface and are capable of reaching read rates of up to 3200 MB / s with 370,000 IOPS while writing it remains at 1900 MB / s and 300,000 IOPS.
These new units incorporate the Silicon Motion SM2262 controller. And 3D TLC NAND memory, using a PCIe x4 interface and the NVMe 1.3 standard. Regarding capabilities, we will see models from 120GB to 2TB. Also, the manufacturer offers three years warranty for all its units without mentioning writing limits.
