ECS announced its new ECS H310CH5-TI mini ITX motherboard, designed for Intel’s Coffee Lake-S processors. This is a product that focuses on miniature systems and compatible all-in-one desktops.
The new ECS H310CH5-TI motherboard is based on Intel’s H310 chipset and is therefore compatible with the 8th generation Core i3 / i5 / i7 processors as well as the cheaper Celeron and Pentium brothers. The motherboard is equipped with a 4+1-phase VRM that uses semiconductor coils and capacitors to extend platform life and ensure high load stability. ECS does not indicate which specific CPUs are suitable for the motherboard, but given the rather limited cooling of a thin mini-ITX chassis, this board is not recommended with a chip greater than 65W.
ECS H310CH5-TI has two SO-DIMM slots for up to 32 GB DDR4-2667 memory, one M.2-2280 slot for SSD PCIe / SATA, two 6 Gbps SATA ports and one M.2 slot for WiFi and BT. The motherboard features a GbE port (controlled by the Realtek 8111H chip), one HDMI 1.4 output, one HDMI 1.4 input, four USB 3.0 Type A ports (two internal and two external), two USB 2.0 Type A ports, and Realtek ALC662 audio with a six-channel DAC.
Because the Slim Mini-ITX motherboards can be used for special systems and highly integrated AIO desktop systems, they also feature numerous internal headers, including a card reader pen head, a webcam pen head, a touch panel pen head, a camera pen, and an IR pen head. ECS has not announced the price of the motherboard.
