These monitors have an IPS panel capable of 5K definition. The manufacturer announces HDR 10 compatibility, PIP and PBP functions or blue light reduction technology.

At the sight of their respective sizes of 49 and 55 inches, it is promised an image processing process avoiding blur with low-resolution content (not 4K).

Their equipment includes two stereo speakers (2 x 5 W), a remote control and several types of video input. There is one HDMI 2.0 (HDCP 2.2 compatible), two HDMI 1.4 and one DisplayPort 1.2.

The announcement does not go into too much detail. We know that the brightness rate is 300 cd/m2 against a response time of 4 ms. In parallel the contrast ratio calibrated to 1200:1.

A difficult name to pronounce

The two new monitors are named after the Acer EB490QKbmiiipfx and Acer EB550Kbmiiipfx. We do not know if this is the definitive nomenclature and if so, it will be worth remembering when looking for them on the web or asking for any of them in the shops.

These are two large screens with diagonals of 49 and 55 inches respectively in which an IPS-type panel is used to achieve a UHD resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels in numbers.

They operate at a frequency of 60 Hz, achieving a maximum contrast of 300 cd/m², a typical contrast of 1200:1 and a response time of 4 milliseconds. Pretty tight specifications, it has to be said.

On both models, Acer is using Blue Light Filter technology to reduce the emission of blue light and Flickerless to improve the management of images on the screen.

Both the Acer EB490QKbmiiipfx and Acer EB550Kbmiiipx include an HDMI 2.0 port, two HDMI 1.4 inputs, and a DisplayPort 1.2 jack along with two 5-watt power speakers so you don’t have to rely on external speakers.

These new products are expected on the Japanese market on June 21. The EB490QKbmiiipfx is positioned around 550 € against 799 € for the EB550Kbmiiipx.
