Current technology allows us to know our planet earth in a different way than we could have known it many years ago. A clear example of this is on EARTH, AstroReality’s first collective financing project on Kickstarter.
It is a globe printed in 3D with a high level of detail and at a scale of 1:106,300,000 which, together with its complementary mobile application for Android and iOS, will allow us to learn about various aspects of our planet earth both today and at any time in the past.
We can know aspects such as the animals that inhabited our planet a thousand years ago, the forest species that exist in a particular place, the geological change experienced over the years, the most significant natural disasters, or the number of inhabitants in a country, among many other possibilities.
To do this, we will have to point the phone camera at the globe and navigate between its multiple options, with the overexposed information appearing on the screen thanks to Augmented Reality.
In addition, we will also be able to ask questions by voice to deepen in a specific aspect that interests us to know, offering us all the information we need to know on a new screen.
The campaign for EARTH has already raised nearly 500% of the goal, set at about $30,000, with an additional 28 days of campaigning left for those interested to join in through any of the many rewards still available, which will be sent this November to any part of the world.
