Diablo 4 raises more money in a week than Diablo Immortal does in a year

Diablo 4, released by Blizzard on June 6, has proven to be an even greater financial successthan Diablo Immortal. According to the company, in just one week, the game has generated more than US$666 million in revenue, a figure that is expected to continue growing.

Although exact data is not available, Diablo Immortal is estimated to have generated approximately US$525 million in revenue during its first year of release. The game ranks 24th among the most successful mobile titles today.

It is important to note that the above figuresdo not include revenue generated by the PC version of Diablo Immortal.

Diablo 4 turned out to be a bigger success than Diablo Immortal.

The difference in revenue between Diablo IV and Diablo Immortal can be explained by the fact that Diablo 4 is a pay-to-play game. Although it also features cosmetic microtransactions, Blizzard does not currently focus on them, which could result in a decrease in revenue in the long term.

Diablo Immortal has gained considerable popularity in China, accounting for 37% of its revenue. In contrast, the United States contributes 24% of the game’s revenue to date. Although it is free to play, it presents barriers that motivate players to make payments to advance in the game.

Blizzard recently hosted an event on Diablo Immortal to commemorate the launch of Diablo IV, whichhas helped increase the mobile game’s popularity. However, the company is focused on the new game for consoles and PC, which will soon receive an update with improvements for the main classes.
