The ITX Taku chassis project had been cooking for a long time in the Cryorig offices, with a collaboration with the well-known manufacturer Lian Li, which ended in a failed Kickstarter campaign to finance the project of this curious desktop ITX chassis that serves as the support for the monitor.
CRYORIG launches ITX Taku desktop chassis
The Taku chassis allows us to use its surface as a stand for the monitor, which not only enable the desk to be much more clear, but thanks to the elevation of its legs allow us to hide the keyboard and mouse under it. The chassis offers interior space for a motherboard in ITX format and a graphics card connected to a PCIe bridge to the side that allows combining a desktop-size GPU up to 280mm long.

As for the interior, the chassis houses space for an SFX power supply, a 3.5 “unit and two 2.5” units. That means together with a desktop GPU; we can mount an enthusiastic team inside.
This version of the chassis includes two USB 3.0 ports and the HD Audio jacks on its side, although Cryorig plans to launch a USB Type C version in the future.
Price and Availability
All Kickstarter project backers will have the option to pre-reserve a Taku chassis for the delivery of the units in December, which will receive a CRYORIG C7 low profile dissipater.
The rest of interested in the Taku will have to wait until mid-2018 when the new chassis will officially go on sale and hit the stores for an initial price of 299 dollars.
