Corsair MP300, a new economical and high-performance NVMe SSD

The new Corsair MP300 is a high-speed NVMe solution, capable of delivering three times the performance of a solution based on the SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, at relatively low prices. Like other inexpensive NVMe solutions, the Corsair MP300 is based on a 2x PCIe bus, which saves costs compared to the 4x PCIe bus used in top-of-the-range models. The manufacturer has used NAND 3D TLC memories, which are more economical than MLCs and allow for very high performance and resistance to intensive use.

Corsair promises read speeds of up to 1600 MB/sec and up to 1040 MB/sec in sequential write speed, more than enough for heavy workloads, and far exceeding the 560 MB/sec that can be achieved via a SATA III bus. Corsair MP300 is available in 120, 240, 480 and 960 GB versions for prices of € 59.99, € 94.99, € 154.99 and € 314.99 respectively.

This is certainly a very interesting proposition for users who need a faster storage medium than the SATA III interface can offer but do not have a large budget for a top-of-the-line NVMe SSD. What do you think about the features of this new Corsair MP300? You can leave a comment with your impressions.
