The performance of the new Intel Core i9-10900KF was leaked in 3DMark, and the numbers aren’t very encouraging for the blues. As this result shows, this new CPU scores about 12400 points in Time Spy’s CPU test, versus more than 13,000 for the Ryzen 9 3900X.
Remember that this i9-10900KF will have 10 cores and 20 threads, with a base frequency of 3700MHz, a multi-core boost of up to 4800Mhz and a single-core boost of 5300MHz. This will make it very competitive for tasks that do not use as many cores due to its high frequencies, but it will still lag behind for tasks that can use all the cores of a Ryzen 9.
With regard to price, it has been filtered that it will cost about 520 euros, which is practically the same as the price of the Ryzen 9 3900X, so the choice will depend on the type of tasks we will be using.
This new line from Intel is expected to arrive in early April, although it could be delayed for a few months due to all the problems we are currently experiencing.
