The clipboard of our computer is a kind of space invisible to the user. That stores what we copy and keeps it waiting for another action: paste it or copy other content. Now we can promote the use of the clipboard with a program called CopyQ.
As we know, only one element at a time is stored in the clipboard, either text or an image. If the computer shuts down, we lose that record. And if we copy something, we can paste it as many times as we want, but once we copy something else, it will be replaced.
CopyQ prevents us from losing the elements copied during a session. So, keeping a count of the contents of those times that we did Ctrl + C or reproduced with the right mouse button.
An open source and multiplatform software
CopyQ is open source, and we can find it for Linux, Windows, and Mac. In each of these operating systems, we can enjoy the same features that make it the best clipboard manager for computers.
The interface is customizable. It has tabs in which we can drag the content from one to the other.
We can search for items in the history to find them faster, and these can include copied HTML codes. To each of these elements, we can add notes if we want to remember something important associated with them.
It is possible to establish a system that can ignore those that we copy from some windows or that contain specific words. That is so that they do not stay in CopyQ.
A similar program will be soon in Windows 10
Cloud Clipboard is the name of the software that Microsoft is preparing to release in its next update called Spring Creators Update. This program plans to perform tasks similar to CopyQ, with the difference that it will be, apparently, anchored to that operating system, while the protagonist of this publication can be downloaded in any of the three main SOs from now on.
