It has recently been announced that the Comet Lake S processors will be introduced on April 30th of this year, and thanks to new information, it now appears that it will take almost a month to acquire them. As announced by WCCFTech, Intel has set two important dates for the deployment of Comet Lake-S.
- Press releases, slides, and specifications: April 30 – 10 am. from Argentina
- Marketing and publication of reviews: May 27 – 10 am. from Argentina
This data includes not only the processors, but also the new motherboards with LGA 1200 sockets and the new 400 series chipsets (Z490, W480, H470, B460, and H410), so there is still a long way to go to obtain these new components and analyze their performance.
What we know so far:
This line is led by the Intel Core i9-10900K 10-core 20 threads and culminates in the i3-10100 4-core 8 threads, which offers hyper-threading across the line for higher performance than the current generation, making it much more competitive with Ryzen 3000. For more information on their specifications, click here, and for their pricing, click here. There are even tests of the i9-10900K on Geekbench and 3DMark, the i7-10700F on Cinebench and the i5-10600 on 3DMark, so we even know their performance.
To use these processors, we have to upgrade to a motherboard with a 400 series chipset and LGA 1200 socket. We’re already passing on information about some Asrock, Asus and Gigabyte models, which you can access by clicking on the name of the respective company.
