BIOSTAR today announced the new TB250-BTC D+ motherboard, a motherboard specifically designed for crypto mining that is intended to eliminate the need for the usual PCIe port risers that populate mining rigs. The new model has a considerable length and has eight PCIe x16 slots where you can directly connect the graphics cards.

The model uses the Intel B250 chipset and natively supports all Sky lake and Kaby lake processors on this platform, avoiding BIOS update issues that occur on other 100 series models. In terms of power supply, the board has several six-pin PCIe connectors on the bottom of the motherboard that act as a bridge to the side to both powers the slots and then feed the necessary cables to the graphics cards themselves via the motherboard.
The motherboard has an HDMI connector from which to extract the integrated video, four USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet network and an M.2 port where you can install an SSD drive.
The board should be available in the coming days from major suppliers for a recommended price of $149.
