BenQ has released a new 35-inch curved monitor with a somewhat strange function. The BenQ EX3501R curved monitor is configured to operate at a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. So, a little better than 2K, but not 4K. At this resolution, it seems to be in between 2K and 4K image quality.
This is a very wide screen. Therefore, 3440 x 1440 is considered the generally accepted resolution. However, if you’ve never had an ultra-wide monitor before, you may have never known that this option existed. It should be noted that the monitor is compatible with HDR technology and 100% compatible with the sRGB colour spectrum, making it especially suitable for professional and semi-professional designers. It also has 1 USB-C port.
BenQ EX3501R Specifications:
- The response time is 4ms.
- 100% sRGB color spectrum
- Maximum brightness of 300nit.
- HDR
- Contrast 3000:1
- 100Hz Update rate
The monitor is currently sold in retail stores at a price of GBP 600 to GBP 650. This price seems to be above the cost of a standard 35″ 4K monitor. Of course, this is a wider model, but is it worth the extra cost?
