The first Android Go from Asus is an affordable mobile phone with hardware that’s not bad either. Want to know about the Asus Zenfone Live L1?
Asus Zenfone Live L1, manufacturer’s Android Go primer
Google has operating systems for all your needs. For TV, car, connected objects…. and also for smartphones. In this last point, manufacturers can choose several possibilities: Android One, Android AOSP, they can certify their mobile phone with Google by adding their own layer and opt for Android Go. The latter is taking on great importance.
Android Go is the affordable mobile version of Android 8.1 Oreo. Installing this system version involves giving wings to a mobile that is not too powerful, which speeds up the experience without the manufacturer being able to customize the layer and applications. Asus has also joined Android Go. And he’s done it with a mobile that’s a bit difficult to pronounce: the Asus Zenfone Live L1. I couldn’t put a longer name on it.
This smartphone in question is now official, the brand has introduced it in Indonesia. The Asus Zenfone Live L1 is expected to stay in Asia, so it would be strange to see it around Europe. Although who knows, Android Go is booming and maybe Asus will sign up to compete with mobiles like Wiko Jerry 3 or Nokia 1.

Android Go already betrays the mobile before entering its specifications sheet: the hardware is going to be fair. This, far from being a problem, can be an advantage for anyone who does not need a high-performance smartphone: after all, what is most users of a mobile phone are messaging and social networking, more than enough for the Asus Zenfone Live L1.
Let’s see, let’s see, what surprises us with the Asus Zenfone Live L1 other than having Android Go installed? These are their characteristics.
It’s a fair motive, though with a decent design. Good sized, with a generous display that at least stays in HD+ resolution, it offers a processor that should not malfunction with Android Go… and the rear camera does not appear to be the worst in a mobile phone with this system, as with the front camera. The Asus Zenfone Live L1 includes facial unlocking.
Aside from this Asus Zenfone Live L1, the manufacturer has presented the Android 8 version of this same mobile phone doubling the RAM memory: from 1 to 2 GB. Also the Asus Zenfone Live, a smaller variant with a 5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2650 mAh battery and Android 6 Marshmallow.
The Asus Zenfone Live L1 has a release date of May 17 in Indonesia. The price is unknown and whether it will end up in other markets.
