Asus introduces Asus Zen AiO 27 (Z272) at IFA 2018. As of yet, laptops have not completely replaced our desktop computers. Asus is renewing its all-in-one very high-end, the Zen 27 All-in-One.
Asus has not only announced laptops at IFA 2018 but also the new AIO. The Taiwanese manufacturer is using the Berlin event to present its latest high-end all-in-one PC, the Zen AiO 27 (Z272). With thin-edged 4K screen and factory-calibrated, extremely ergonomically designed configurations tailored to versatility and digital design, this monoblock PC stands outspoken.
All on the screen….. and in the foot
The most prominent feature of the machine is the 27-inch diagonal screen which can be either Full HD or 4K depending on the configuration. Asus also reports that the UHD tile is factory calibrated and Pantone certified and offers a Delta E of less than 3 for higher color fidelity. You can adjust the inclination as well as the height, which is not common in the monoblock PC world. We appreciate that.
Let us now turn to the elegant base of the machine. It includes all hardware configurations, speakers (Harman/Kardon) and a wireless Qi charger. It is convenient for charging smartphones and compatible devices. The selection of connectors is of course distributed between the sides and the back of the base.
Asus also indicates that it is possible to open the foot very easy to add memory or expand storage capacity. These are the component cocktails offered by Asus, which can vary from one version of the machine to another.

This all-in-one is able to run a very large number of specialized software or even gets on the path of video games from time to time. But not in 4K, neither with all the full details and the GeForce GTX 1050 would not support it. Whenever you want, you can try connecting an external graphics card to the Thunderbolt 3 jack on the device to make it a little more fun when your computer’s heart (and budget) allows it.
Last but not least, the HDMI input offers the possibility to connect a game console or a TV box to the device and that’ s pretty cool. This way we can benefit from the technical qualities that are so highly praised by the board!
Asus announces that the Zen AiO 27 (Z272) will be available from December this year, however, no price has been announced.
