Asus has announced the two monitors with portability in mind. On the one hand, we have the Asus ProArt PQ22UC, an exciting monitor with an OLED panel, 4K resolution and HDR compatible. And, on the other hand, we have the Asus ZenScreen Go MB16AP, an original portable screen that runs on battery.

It also has a USB-C port to connect to laptops and mobile phones. Both devices can be seen during this week at CES and will reach the market in the spring. So far the prices have not been disclosed. Let’s go over its characteristics.

Asus ProArt PQ22UC

Perhaps the most exciting monitor of the two is the Asus ProArt PQ22UC. Although it has been designed as a monitor to take from one place to another, the truth is that its technical characteristics are very striking. We are talking about a 21.6-inch OLED panel. It has a 4K UHD resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and is compatible with HDR images.

The Asus ProArt PQ22UC offers a response time of 0.1 ms and is capable of covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. It also has a color depth of 10 bits and is calibrated at the factory to ensure a Delta E color difference of fewer than two colors.

On the other hand, OLED technology allows achieving a high contrast. Specifically, it offers a 1,000,000: 1 contrast and has a dynamic range broad enough to support HDR content.

As we mentioned, this monitor comes with portability in mind. Therefore it offers a design almost without frames, weighing less than a kilogram . Besides, thanks to the use of an OLED panel, the monitor is extremely thin, which facilitates its transport in a suitable case.

The Asus ProArt PQ22UC connects to the computer via a USB-C or an HDMI micro. On the other hand, the support can gets apart for easy transport.

Asus ZenScreen Go MB16AP

Also with portability in mind, although with a very different concept, Asus has introduced the ZenScreen Go MB16AP. It is a 15.6-inch monitor with Full HD resolution that runs on battery. This monitor weighs less than 900 grams and tiny frames, thus getting a feeling of being in front of a larger screen.

Asus has used an IPS panel to achieve more intense colors, as well as better viewing angles. It also includes ASUS Eye Care technology to reduce eyestrain.

The Asus ZenScreen Go MB16AP equips a 7,800 mAh battery that allows a 4 hours autonomy with maximum brightness. The monitor has a USB Type-C connection but also works with a USB 3.0 Type-A and a DisplayLink controller. Also, the screen comes with the same USB connection that supplies the video power.

Finally, the Asus ZenScreen Go MB16AP comes with a cover that allows you to place the monitor in landscape or portrait mode. As we mentioned, this device will go on sale next spring, although its price is unknown.
