ASUS announces a new monitor from the series aimed at professional design users, the ASUS PA248QV.
ASUS PA248QV – FullHD monitor that covers 100% of the color space of Rec. 709 and sRGB
This new monitor is equipped with a WUXGA panel, i.e. 1920 x 1200 pixels with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The special feature of the display is that it covers 100% of the Rec. 709 and sRGB color space, with a factory-calibrated DeltaE of less than 2. The panel is of the IPS type and offers a luminance of 300 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 in 16.7 million colors.
The response time is 5 ms GtG and the refresh rate is announced at 75 Hz in some places, without any official precision on this subject.
The connections are established via HMDI, DisplayPort or VGA. We will also have a 3.5 audio output and a 4-port USB 3.0 hub. The base supports tilt, rotation, height and portrait and will be compatible with VESA 100 x 100 mm. The display also has a borderless design for easy adjustment when used in multi-screen configurations. Built-in 2W speakers are also welcome.
The ASUS monitor is not specifically designed for gamers, but for professional or semi-professional designers. Unfortunately, there is no support for HDR, which explains its “low” luminance.
At the moment we have no release date and no announced price for the ASUS PA248QV.
