The trend towards RGB lighting has already reached the external hard drives. ASUS has its own external FX hard disk variant, an RGB lighting that can be synchronized with your PC case for a complete lighting system, ASUS has it covered.

The new line of external FX hard drives is equipped with RGB lighting and can be synchronized with the other devices using aura technology.
The new line of external hard drives has a Strix-like design with a very angular base, with details engraved on the brushed aluminum case. The aura support is complete with these external hard drives, so modding fans have an excellent choice here.
The external FX hard drives feature secure 256-bit AES encryption and data compression as well as an integrated, free backup software solution (others in preparation).
Its design is inspired by RoG Strix.
The connection (both for data transfer and for AURA Sync) is made via a USB 3.1 Gen1 connection via the ASM1153E controller. FX external hard drives measure 128 x 80 x 16.3 mm and weigh only 145 grams. Storage capacities range from 1 TB to 2 TB, while the EHD-A2T model offers 2 TB of storage space.
At the moment we do not know how high the prices will be, but the start date seems to be close.
