The Aquantia AQN-107 AQN-107 is based on the company’s AQC107 10 GbE network controller, a model that supports multiple BASE-T standards, including 100M, 1G, 2.5G, and 5G via an RJ45 connector with Cat5e / Cat6 cabling. This card uses a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and comes in a black PCB with an aluminum heat sink that improves aesthetics and prevents overheating of its components.
Aquantia AQN-107 differs from the manufacturer’s similar network adapters with the inclusion of internal game prioritization software. This is a similar solution to the software tools offered by Rivet Networks Killer, however, both approach the problem differently internally. Aquantia has three levels of prioritization supported by its software. Aquantia demonstrated a gaming platform equipped with its AQtion AQN-107 card and software during Computex, Anandtech was able to confirm that the software works and reduces latency.
Aquantia AQN-107 AQN-107 arrives on the market for approximately 90 euros. The gaming market is not a priority for Aquantia, so the card will only be available on Amazon and will be sold under its own brand name. Let’s hope that the company decides to bet more strongly on gaming to offer better products to users.
