For Anne Frank’s 89th birthday, Force Field VR and Oculus publish a free VR experience of their hideout. What awaits us in Anne Frank House VR and with which VR headsets can we experience the history lesson?
Virtual Reality does not only offer unique game worlds. Rather, thanks to the increased immersion, we also have the opportunity to experience things in the form of so-called VR experiences up close. Anne Frank House VR now takes us into a dark chapter of German history.
Anne Frank House VR: Experienced History
As the name suggests, Anne Frank House VR takes us to the hiding place of the young Anne Frank. We should also know from history lessons that during the Second World War she sought refuge from the Nazis in the rooms behind a bookcase in Amsterdam.
In the VR experience, we can now look at the furnished rooms of the rear house. Not least thanks to the latest VR visualization technology and extensive historical research, an authentic result has been achieved, since the building is actually empty today.
The tour lasts about 25 minutes and is offered in seven languages (Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew).
