New investments

AMD has been in Ireland for a long time now, having opened its first center almost 30 years ago, in 1994 to be specific. Since then, the company has increased its investment there. This new investment is a way of creating new jobs in the country, as well as seeking to give a boost to the technology sector in Ireland, another aspect of importance in this regard. The Irish government is very pleased with the company’s announcement.

It should be remembered that they currently have two centers in the country, in Dublin and Cork. The new investments announced by the manufacturer are earmarked for both, so that resources at these two centers will be expanded.

AMD thus expects to have a positive impact on the semiconductor market in Europe, in addition to maintaining Ireland’s position as an innovative market. The firm expects this investment to help R&D teams in Ireland design innovative, high-performance, adaptive computing engines to accelerate data center, networking, 6G communications and embedded solutions.
