AMD Ryzen 5 5600X easily beats Intel i5-10600K

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X will go on sale on November 5 this year as one of the Zen 3 mid-range options. The processor has shown scores in the Cinebench R15 and R20 benchmark tools in comparison to a Core i5-10600K.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X easily beats Intel’s i5-10600K

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is a 6-core, 12-threads processor with a 3.7 GHz base clock and 4.6 GHz maximum incremental clock, has 32 MB L3 cache, and 3 MB L2 cache, and power consumption of 65 W.

In this comparison, a Core i5-10600K is used, which seems to match the AMD processor because it has the same number of cores and threads, although the TDP is in option and Intel has twice as much power with 125W.

In Cinebench R15, the Ryzen 5 5600K scores 2040, while the Intel Core i5-10600K in the multi-core configuration scores 1671. This results in a 26% higher performance of the AMD processor in multi-core configurations.

The chip was tested on an ASUS Rog Crosshair VII Hero motherboard with 16GB of DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz. It could test three versions of Cinebench, but the most interesting result was of course from Cinebench R20.

In single-core tests the Ryzen 5600X scores 258 points with this tool. Again, the AMD option outperforms the i5-10600K with 20% more power with a single core in Cinebench.

This is a big win for AMD and its Zen 3 architecture, which seems to be much more efficient than Comet Lake with the same number of cores.

AMD Ryzen 9 5960X, Ryzen 9 5900X, Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 5 5600X will be available from November 5th. We will keep you informed.
