AMD Ryzen 3000 compliant ASUS motherboards with X570 chipset screened

The ASUS motherboard models with X570 chipset have been filtered to support the AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors and their new features.
The AMD Ryzen 3000 Series processors are expected to arrive in the coming months and are already being perceived. A few days ago, several manufacturers announced that they were already updating their motherboard BIOS to support these new processors. In addition to updating the motherboards, there are also motherboards with next-generation chipsets. At least the name of the first filtered motherboards was from ASUS based on the X570 chipset.

Ryzen 3000 paving way for competition

These new X570 chipsets will have the ability to get as much power as possible out of the Ryzen 3000 series. The current Ryzen 2000 chipsets can be installed on Ryzen 1000 motherboards, but XFR 2.0 and other features do not work. Here the same will happen, we will be able to install a Ryzen 3000 into a Ryzen 1000 and Ryzen 2000 Mobo, but without enjoying the improvements.

It should be noted that the X570 chipset was developed by AMD because it has integrated PCIe 4.0 support. If we have a motherboard with a previous generation chipset, we will not be able to use the new PCIe 4.0. On the other hand, to stress that only the Radeon VII relies on support for this data bus, which is why it is not relevant either. NVIDIA is not currently planning to switch to PCIe 4.0 at this point because PCIe 3.0 offers more than enough bandwidth.

On the list of ASUS motherboards to be released, these are currently the ones that will use the X570 chipset:

  • ROG CROSSHAIR VIII FORMULA
  • ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HEROIN
  • ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO (WI-FI)
  • ROG CROSS THREAD VIIII IMPACT
