The short comparison shows the RX 6800 XT, RX 6900 XT, RTX 3080, RTX 3090 and RTX 2080 Ti. The Radeon RX 6800 XT reaches a score of 8500 points in 3DMark Time Spy. The RTX 3080 achieves a score of 8918. The advantage for the Nvidia option is only 5% in 3DMark.

Above the chart we see how close the RTX 3090 is to the RX 6900 XT. AMD seems to have done a very good job with its RDNA 2 graphics, which allows it to compete face to face with Nvidia in all segments.

AMD promises to work on its own DLSS-like solution. Nvidia has an interesting strategic advantage with DLSS technology and ray tracing acceleration, and AMD intends to offer something similar.

The filtering gives us not only the performance in 3DMark, but also some additional details. Apparently AMD will be able to pray for sophisticated start controllers, and that the cooling is “slightly noisy”.

The Radeon RX 6800 XT is based on the graphics processor Navi 21 XT, which will reach about 16 GB GDRR6 memory, 4608 SP units and 72 processing units. The bus reaches 256 bits, which corresponds to a total bandwidth of 512 GB/s. The base clock frequency is 2015 MHz and the up clock frequency is 2250 MHz.

The Radeon RX 6800 XT is sold for $649, $50 less than the GeForce RTX 3080, and we’ll keep you posted.
