AMD revenue for the year increased by 26% and net income by 4.5 times

AMD has published its financial report for the last quarter. In the second quarter of 2020, it generated revenues of $1.93 billion, up 26% year-on-year. Compared to the first quarter of this year, income increased by 8%.

Gross profit for the year rose from 41% to 44%. Operating profit was $173 billion, compared to $177 billion in the first quarter of 2020 and – $59 billion a year ago.

The result for the quarter was a net income of $157 billion. In the first quarter, net income was USD 162 million, i.e. it decreased slightly, while in the second quarter of 2019 net income was USD 35 billion, i.e. it increased by USD 122 billion for the year.

The calculation of non-GAAP results in an operating income of $233 billion and a net income of $216 billion. A year ago the corresponding figures were $111 billion and $92 billion.

At the end of the quarter, the company had cash and cash equivalents of $1.78 billion.
