Computex 2018 will also feature the new AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 Nano, the spiritual successor to the Radeon R9 Nano that came onto the market several years ago with the Fiji architecture.
This Radeon RX Vega 56 Nano is the product of PowerColor’s effort to offer the best of the Sunnyvale company in an extremely compact form factor. The new card is a good inch longer than the previous R9 Nano, and unlike its predecessor, it is not based on a fully unlocked version of AMD’s range top silicon. It is cooled by an aluminium heatsink and a single 80 mm fan. The PCB on the card is almost 5 mm longer than the Radeon R9 Nano, although the heatsink adds an additional inch to its length.
It has been shown that the card is powered by a combination of two 6-pin + 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Since this card has a specific “RX Vega 56” SKU brand and not an “RX Vega Nano” brand, it will hopefully be as fast as a standard RX Vega 56. In terms of video outputs, the manufacturer has included three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.0. Its official sale price is set at 449 dollars, to which must be added taxes on arrival in Spain.
There is no specific date for its release, although it should not be long before it can be found in the main online shops.
