AMD has just confirmed that the prices for it’s upcoming Radeon RX 5700 will be lowered when released. Nvidia is, of course, the origin of this good news.
The information was published at the beginning of the weekend on FaceBook. AMD has confirmed the latest rumors on this subject. It has to be said that the scenery has changed since its official announcement at E3 2019. Nvidia has released its GeForce RTX 20 Super Series.
The Radeon RX 5700 graphics cards will, therefore, benefit from a lower price as soon as they come on the market. The Radeon, RX 5700 XT will be announced for $399 in order to be hooked up to the GeForce RTX 2060 Super, compared to $349 for the Radeon RX 5700, which is the same price as the GeForce RTX 2060. This last-minute adjustment shows the performance of the two new features. Nvidia always seems to be the only top company with RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2080 Ti without competition.
Radeon RX 5700 series price updates
It should be noted that even the limited commemorative edition of the RX 5700 XT for AMD’s 50th anniversary has been reduced to $449. However, the starting offer for the two cards, including the Xbox 3-month PC gaming pass, will not change.
AMD declares that:
AMD’s goal is to provide exceptional experiences and access to the best gaming technologies at attractive prices. As you have seen, competition in the GPU market is fierce. We welcome this competition with open arms, allowing innovation to be driven upwards for the sole benefit of the players. With this in mind, we are updating our pricing information for the Radeon RX 5700 graphics cards available on July 7, 2019.
