AMD has officially announced its new line of graphics cards called the Radeon PRO W6000X, led by the Radeon PRO W6800X Duo, which features dual Navi 21 cores. This product line is exclusive to the Mac Pro and includes three different models for the best possible performance in productivity tasks.
As mentioned earlier, the leading GPU in this lineup is the Radeon PRO W6800X Duo, which, as the name suggests, has two Radeon Pro W6800X cores inside. Each Radeon PRO W6800X has 60 cores or 3840 stream processors, a 256-bit bus, 128MB of Infinity Cache, and 32GB of GDDR6 memory, so the Duo version doubles all of those specs. The single-GPU version has a TDP of 300W, while the Duo version has a TDP of 400W, so the frequencies of the Duo version will likely be significantly lower.
On the single-GPU side, the top model is the Radeon PRO W6900X, which has 80 processing units or 5120 stream processors, a 256-bit interface, 128MB of Infinity Cache, and 32GB of GDDR6 memory, all with a TDP of 300W.
With these specs, the Radeon Pro W6800X achieves 16 TFLOPS FP32, the Radeon Pro W6900X achieves 22 TFLOPS FP32, and the Radeon Pro W6800X Duo achieves 30.2 TFLOPS FP32, offering variants for every taste. All information about these models can be found on AMD’s website by clicking here.
