AMD’s new high-performance computer graphics to compete with the Nvidia Tesla is fast approaching, and now the specifications of a technical sample of an Arcturus graphics, the most powerful model that AMD will launch based on the new CDNA architecture, have been leaked.
As user _rogame revealed, Arcturus will have 120 computational units, which is equivalent to 7680 stream processors, and this technical model will have a core frequency of 878MHz, a SOC frequency of 750MHz and HBM2E memory at 1200MHz.
The final version will probably have higher frequencies, as it is simply a technical model, so it will have a very strong performance. Anyway, Nvidia is preparing ampere-graphics with up to 8192 Cuda cores, so the competition in this market will be very strong from both companies.
There are no details yet as to when we will see these new Radeon graphics for servers, although it won’t be far off.
