AMD has formally announced the release of its AMD AGESA ComboAM4 1.0.0.5 Microcode. It is intended to include this new microcode in UEFI motherboard firmware updates and to be distributed by motherboard and OEM manufacturers.

The AMD AGESA ComboAM4 1.0.0.5 improves POST with selected DDR4 3200 memory chips from Micron Technology. An occasional virtual memory bug caused by certain Realtek embedded PHY Ethernet chips has also been fixed. This microcode will also improve the overall stability and internal operations of the PCI Express bus. Finally, a problem with the PCIe path configuration on Ryzen 3 Pro 2100GE CPUs has also been fixed.
In addition, there are performance and stability improvements, which are part of the microcodes 1.0.0.4 a/ab/abb/abba and which have also been incorporated into the AMD AGESA ComboAM4 1.0.0.5.
