AMD Adrenalin 20.9.1 is released with various fixes

AMD has released the driver package Adrenalin 20.9.1, which always offers a whole range of corrections and optimizations. This particular version focuses exclusively on fixing various bugs, which we will discuss in more detail below.

Fixes for drivers with AMD Adrenalin 20.9.1

A black screen, system crash, or TDR may occur during gameplay when task changes are made when the overlay is enabled for performance measurement, or when video/web browser content is opened on secondary displays in the System Preferences of Radeon RX 5000 graphics products.

  • Project CARS 3 may experience performance issues when the Radeon Software performance overlay is enabled.
  • Error 1603 may occur during the installation of Radeon Software on some Ryzen 5 APUs with Radeon graphics system configurations.
  • Error 195 may occur when installing Radeon Software on some AMD Ryzen 3 APUs.
  • On some screens, the power-up process of the display with Radeon FreeSync turned on may cause the screen to stay black until the system is rebooted or the screen is hot-plugged.
  • In some places in Borderlands 3, flickering may occur when the Radeon boost is enabled.
  • Decoding some HEVC content with the AMF decoder may damage clip playback.
  • Performance Tuning fan profiles are sometimes not applied after loading a saved profile.
    – Sometimes the Radeon software may automatically lock or quit when a game is scanned on the Games tab.
  • During matchmaking in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, random color distortions may occasionally occur on some surfaces.
  • Notifications may include missing icons or text when hotkeys are used to access some of the send and record functions of Radeon software.
  • Brightness flicker may occur when playing some VP9 video content through applications or web browsers in the System Preferences of Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products.

Please note that these drivers are valid for Radeon HD 7900 graphics cards and higher.
