The dynamics of the control panel used by parents to restrict access to specific content and features on Fire or Kindle tablets that have FreeTime Unlimited subscriptions has changed.
Amazon now lets you use parental control remotely
At this point, parents will not be limited to the tablet itself to customize the options that make it easier to control but will be able to use any mobile device or computer that is available. So they can update the criteria they have determined at any time, without having to rely on the Amazon device.
In this way, they will be able to control access to games, videos, apps or eBooks that their children can access, as well as set time limits, schedules, etc. And of course, they will still have the reports that show all the content that the children have seen, and the time they have spent. Depending on the configuration you have set up, you can receive them on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
This upgrade will be implemented automatically, but parents will have to choose the new option that allows them to control the parental panel remotely. One thing to keep in mind is that making this option will clear all options from the previous FreeTime configuration.
