Amazon Cloud vs. Google Stadia: AWS with Twitch will introduce another player for 2020

Google Cloud has recently released Stadia, the game streaming platform has only arrived in a few countries and in a still limited version and with latency issues, but some reviews treat the subscription service as something that has the potential to attract Amazon’s attention. According to the CNET portal, the owner of Twitch is also one of those interested in participating more actively in the games market. The company, which currently sells games, consoles and other accessories, also wants to introduce its subscription service in this area.

By two sources of trust, Amazon web services cloud intend to announce the service at a later date in 2020, and not to launch something small, the idea is to compete directly with Google and others in this market such as Microsoft and Sony. The company has already begun to attract talent from several companies experienced in this field, including Microsoft, for launch. The recruitment is on behalf of Amazon’s web services team, which includes the development of the company’s game streaming project.

One job description mentions that the company believes that the gaming community that has evolved into what we have today, with a live game and e-sport broadcasts, will continue to evolve into a future where all players will be able to create, compete, collaborate and connect on a large scale. Other vacancies also include a description that mentions the promotion of new innovative uses such as streaming games.

There is a great chance that Amazon will use the name Twitch for integration, but there is still no official explanation on the subject. This year Amazon Prime announced here in Brazil a service that includes a package of benefits (free shipping, Prime Video, Prime Reading, Prime Music and more) for 9.90 R$.
